FOR TEACHERS

a.   Arkansas Humanities Council

The Arkansas Humanities Council provides mini-grants to K–12 teachers and education institutions to promote understanding, appreciation, and use of the humanities in Arkansas. For grant guidelines, visit www.arkhums.org.

b.   Arkansas Science and Technology Authority (ASTA)

ASTA’s Mini-Grant Program provides awards to Arkansas teachers in grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 to purchase consumable science materials. Another teachers’ grant program, STUART Grant Program, provides awards to Arkansas teachers in grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 to purchase a classroom participation system, a projector, and a laptop computer. c.   Science Grant Program (Arkansas Public Middle Schools)

The Arkansas Community Foundation and the Arkansas Science and Technology Authority are implementing a program, funded by the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, to enhance science programs in all Arkansas public middle schools.
