Arkansas Humanities Council The Arkansas Humanities Council provides mini-grants to K–12 teachers and education institutions to promote understanding, appreciation, and use of the humanities in Arkansas. Arkansas Science and Technology Authority (ASTA) ASTA’s Mini-Grant Program provides awards to Arkansas teachers in grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 to purchase consumable science materials. Another teachers’ grant program, STUART Grant Program, provides awards to Arkansas teachers in grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 to purchase a classroom participation system, a projector, and a laptop computer. Science Grant Program (Arkansas Public Middle Schools) The Arkansas Community Foundation and the Arkansas Science and Technology Authority are implementing a program, funded by the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, to enhance science programs in all Arkansas public middle schools.
