Anna Cooney
Program Associate
(pronouns: she/her/hers)
Anna looks forward to the Foundation’s vision of an equitable, thriving, and prosperous Arkansas becoming reality. As program associate, Anna supports implementation of the Foundation’s strategies through research, convening coordination, grants management, and outcomes assessment.
Before coming to the Foundation, Anna was the associate director of development for the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra (ASO). Prior to the ASO, she helped create online continuing education for law enforcement personnel through the Criminal Justice Institute, University of Arkansas System. She also served as an information accessibility specialist, providing equitable access to information for persons with disabilities. Anna earned her MM from Shenandoah University and BAM from The College at Southwestern (now Scarborough College).
Anna and her husband are the proud aunt and uncle of a lively group of nieces, nephews, and a godson. When she’s not working at the Foundation, Anna browses her local library’s stacks, visits far-flung family, serves her church as a deacon, and performs as a professional harpist across the state.
