Meredith Morrison
Former Program & Operations Assistant (until Oct. 2019)
"Glue" that holds things together; supporter of staff and processes
Meredith is the hands and feet behind building the movement for equity in Arkansas. When the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation needs to get something done, she handles it. She supports grants management, writes and edits materials, conducts research, and organizes convenings.
Prior to joining the Foundation in 2015, Meredith earned her BA in International Relations from Hendrix College. During her college years, she joined the Roosevelt Institute, a progressive student-led think tank based in New York City. Her policy work through the Campus Network and high school education in rural Southwest Missouri influenced her passion for rural economic development and education policy.
Meredith is also an active member of Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy.
Meredith grew up on a farm in Southern Missouri. She is just as talented at relentlessly pursuing equity at the Foundation as she is at raising livestock in rural America.
“Leadership does not only come with ‘CEO,’ executive director, or other impressive titles. I am my own leader.”
― Meredith Morrison
