Sarah McBroom
Equity Officer
(pronouns: she/her/hers)
Sarah is committed to every family in Arkansas having the education, income, and power necessary to create a prosperous and equitable Arkansas. As equity officer, she oversees the implementation of the Foundation’s strategies within its major initiatives: the Arkansas Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, ForwARd Arkansas, and Expect More.
Before joining the Foundation, Sarah was a senior project manager at the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. She serves on the advisory committee for the Children, Youth and Family Funders Roundtable, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Board of Visitors, the City of Little Rock Residential Housing and Public Facilities Board, and the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Arkansas advisory panel. Sarah earned her joint MPS and MBA from the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service and Walton College of Business, BA from the University of North Carolina, and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute.
When she is not relentlessly pursuing equity for all Arkansans, you can find her and her husband raising two little ones and enjoying a variety of chips and dips.
