Sarah McBroom

Educational Equity Officer

Birth-to-career educational equity leader and community change agent

Sarah is committed to increase the number of Arkansans who are prepared to be successful in postsecondary educational opportunities and careers regardless of background and circumstance. Sarah manages grants, conducts research, assesses outcomes, and drives the educational equity agenda for the Foundation.

Before joining the Foundation, Sarah was a senior project manager at the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, where she worked to enhance the state’s economy by recruiting new businesses and facilitating the expansion of existing businesses. She serves on the advisory committee for the Children, Youth and Family Funders Roundtable, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Board of Visitors, and City of Little Rock Residential Housing and Public Facilities Board. Sarah earned her joint MPS and MBA from the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service and Walton College of Business, BA from the University of North Carolina, and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute.

When she is not relentlessly pursuing equity for all Arkansans, you can find her and her husband raising two little ones and enjoying a variety of chips and dips.

“Arkansas is home. I feel connected to this place and want to be a part of shaping its future.”
