WHAT WE’RE EXCITED ABOUT
On February 28, 2019, at 11am CT, The Aspen Institute will host an online event to explore two-generation (2Gen) strategies in rural America. The conversation will be moderated by former WRF Board member René Bryce-Laporte.

WHY THIS EXCITES US
The Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation (WRF) relentlessly pursues economic equity. Economic equity will exist when all Arkansans can achieve widely shared prosperity because everyone earns a living wage, participates in a thriving economy, and is able to build generational wealth. 2Gen strategies ensure we meet the needs of whole families—both children and their parents. Families thrive and prosper thanks to increased access to early childhood education, health services, workforce training, financial literacy, and soft-skill building.

WHAT WE KNOW
2Gen strategies create powerful outcomes for our families and rural communities. In fact, we have transformational 2Gen models right here in Arkansas. Click here to watch Dr. Sherece West-Scantlebury, president and CEO of the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, share how the Mississippi County, Arkansas, Economic Opportunity Commission’s 2Gen innovations empower Arkansas families to thrive and prosper.
