ONLINE EVENT — Grow AR Own: Access to Capital
Economic Equity
SER Equity
Share
Join us on Monday, March 1, 2021
, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. CT, for
Grow AR Own: Access to Capital in Arkansas
, the first installment of our virtual series examining why the money needed to sustain small businesses isn’t reaching businesses run by people of color and women and what we can do to close that capital access gap.
Every small business is critical to our state’s economy. The barriers many Black, LatinX, and women owned businesses face as they seek the resources needed to build their businesses are a problem we should all be engaged to address.
As a part of
Grow AR Own
, leaders from the public, nonprofit, and banking sectors will help us understand how to improve lending policy and implement other equitable practices that support the growth of entrepreneurs of color and all small businesses in Arkansas. These solutions are the first step among business leaders, financial institutions, policymakers, and researchers committed to working together to eliminate disparities in capital access.

About
Grow AR Own
Systemic inequity creates innumerable barriers in Arkansas. It limits opportunity for women and people of color and negatively impacts the health of our economy. The global pandemic has intensified racial and economic disparities, and it is incumbent that leaders in Arkansas address the systems and structures that perpetuate these outcomes.
Hosted by the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, Grow AR Own is a virtual series that brings together community, business, and bank leaders to examine the economic impact of inequity, advance bold ideas, and work together on concrete actions to achieve an economy that works for everyone. Continue to visit our website for resources on these topics and to learn more about recent and future events.
